Magnet - The location based social app, for Android. Look for people around your devices GPS location, and chat with people who are nearby - or on the other side of the world! Find new or old friends and keep in touch even while far away!To use Magnet, all users must agree that they are at least 18 years old, and your Android device must have GPS hardware, running at least Android 4.0 as the minimum operating system. You also must accept the permissions if prompted, in order for the app to function properly.Key Features:- Real-time map updated with the locations of active users.- Chat with nearby users of the app! Invite friends to chat by having them find you on the map.- Easy drag and pinch to zoom to view the map.- Move the map to a specific town, city, or location with the search bar.- Review past conversations with other users, and message them even if they are offline.- Block pesky users from contacting you and seeing you on the map.- Report users who break the rules, to help keep the app free from abuse.- Disable push notifications if you don't want to be bothered.Magnet is brand new, and has only just been released for android - so all feedback and suggestions are welcome!And because Magnet is in a very early stage of public release, the app is likely to experience problems as progress is made towards a complete version of the app, from problems as small as getting disconnected, to problems as big as all user accounts and messages being wiped to allow for new versions to be released which operate differently. While attempts will be made to keep the accounts active and allow for reliable usability, while the app is still in its early stages, it is suggested to be aware that there may be problems that need worked out through updates and bug reports from users like you!Locations are generalized on the public map by a small amount, to protect users location from being exactly revealed to other users, and instead only shown near where they are located. Users only show updated general positions on the map if they are currently inside the application, and not as a background task, so you don't need to worry about your safety or security being compromised while using Magnet, or after you have left the app.Again, Magnet is very early in development, and problems are likely going to occur with some devices or networks that have not been discovered in testing.
